Hi everybody.
Pleased to meet you- thank you so much for reading. This blog is my creative space- as a designer/ maker, crafter, art teacher and mummy, there is always something creative going on around me, and I hope you will enjoy reading about it.
This week, I have started a new cross stitch project. I’m terrible for having a million projects on the go at once. My corner of the living room is stacked with UFOs- UnFinished Objects. It’s not that I lose patience, I just enjoy so many different crafts and styles that I need something for each mood…
This weeks new escapade is this Welcome banner pattern by Emily Peacock for Cross Stitcher magazine.
It’s a beautiful piece and should look fabulous when it’s finished, but this one is definitely a marathon rather than a sprint. So far, I have completed one section after a few hours stitching- the full design takes approximately 300 hours!
I love Emily Peacock’s designs. She uses such bold colours and her tapestries are so modern and fun. I have a little queue of them to complete, including her gorgeous Hug & Kiss cushions.
If you want to see more of her beautiful work, have a look at her website. In the meantime, wish me luck!
